Meeting: 9th June 2011

Apologies: None.

The meeting scheduled for 2nd June had been postponed and arranged

for the present date. As there are only 2 weeks until the Cwmdu Fete on

Saturday 25th June the meeting used Philipʼs Planner to concentrate on

the organisation and of volunteers needed to stage another successful day.

* The running order was agreed with the Fete being opened at 1.00pm

by Heledd Cynwal from S4C.

* Tents will be erected Friday evening 6.00pm and taken down Sunday

10.00am. All help welcomed.

* There will be 5 Lucky programme prizes drawn at 4.00pm.

* Entry fee £3 (children 15 and under free). Evening Twmpath and BBQ

entry fee £4 ( children 15 and under free).

* Photo competition - “ Shadows “

* Garden competition - “ Weather Vane “ Also - Tallest foxglove /

Longest runner bean / Potato head / Flower arrangement in unusual

container. Entries in by 2.00pm. 50p per entry.

* Displays and Stalls on the field to include Dog Agility / Circus Skills

workshop / Vintage Display.

* Food and Drink on the field to include BBQ / Crepes (Jan) / Tea and

Cakes (Pat) / Strawberries and Cream (Edith) / Ice Creams / Beer and

Cider.

* Evening BBQ run by Colin W. and Colin T. from 7.00pm.

* Steveʼs big marquee to have displays in during the day and to be used

for the Twmpath in the evening. Lighting to be organised.

* Volunteers needed for all areas - see Philip.

* Agreed charity - Welsh Air Ambulance.

* National Trust volunteers will be here the week before the Fete, (dates

booked by mistake), and will carry out general maintenance.

Unfortunately, they will not be available as extra help on the day.
