Cymdeithas Cwmdu Meeting 7th January 2010
Members present: 11
Present: Philip and Judy, Colin and Chris, Alan and Bella, Nigel
and Kath, Janet, Kate, Goronwy.
Apologies: David and Nikki.
Matters Arising from Minutes of the Last Meeting:
* Upstairs sitting room - no progress to report due to Christmas
and the bad weather. Colin and Chris will continue to look for
suitable items.
* Kath has set up the printer for use in the shop.
* We will consider putting an advertisement in The Post to promote the shop and Post Office.
* Tourist sign for the village - A brown sign has been paid for.
Paul Faulkner will be asked when we may see it erected.
* Kath has put the dates that David and Jenny are cooking up on the website
and will do the same for all the cooks when she has
the information.
* Thanks to all those who contributed to events over the Christmas
and New Year period - Catrin for an excellent Christmas dinner,
Claire for providing the tree, to Tom for the Quiz, David for
opening the bar Christmas morning, to John for the New Year
Quiz ( £60 raised on the raffle ) .
* Community Council daffodils will be planted as soon as weather
permits.
* Welsh Countryside Awards - Kath is taking names for a group to go to the Senedd on 20th January.
* Further discussion will take place to consider the best way
financially to put in Broadband facilities for public use in the Shop and Tafarn.

Business report.

Finance  Nothing to report.

Kitchen  Ralph will organise Hygiene Certification for all who need it.  There will be a meeting for the cooks as soon as everyone is available.   Philip and Judy will do an instruction sheet for turning the ovens on.
