Bu Radio Cymru De Orllewin yn ymweld â chartref Hywel Jones yng Nghwmdu, yn dilyn cais gan gynhyrchydd sioe Marc Griffiths. Gofynnodd a fyddai’n bosib darlledu rhaglen foreol ar ddechrau mis Medi yn ymwneud â’r ardd. Fel canlyniad fe ddaeth 13 o bobl ynghyd i gartref Hywel a chafwyd rhaglen ddiddorol. Uchafbwyntiau’r rhaglen oedd yr afalau a’r dahlias godidog yn yr ardd, er gwaethaf y tywydd gwlyb.  Ni ddylid anghofio  tractor 1948 Allis Chalmers Humphrey Edwards o Lanfynydd. Roedd Marc wedi dotio gymaint ar y tractor, fe wnaeth ei yrru am ddwy filltir wedi i’r rhaglen orffen. Rhoddodd Hywel hanes y pentref, dangos yr afon Dulais, yn ogystal a pherllan a Teras Rhyd yr Onnen.

Mae’n drueni fod y rhaglen radio hon (Grav’s Radio) yn dod i ben ar ddiwedd y mis, 26ain o Fedi , gan fod Radio Cymru yn mynd yn genedlaethol.Gobeithio na fyddant yn esgeuluso ardaloedd fel De orllewin Cymru a  mannau pwysig arall. Carai Hywel ddiolch i bawb a ddaeth i’w   gefnogi, ac i’r merched am baratoi  lluniaeth o frechdanau, cacennau a the.

Radio Cymru De Orllewin  Marc Griffiths daily morning program visited Hywel Jones at Ordawe to do a 2 hour live program. This was in response to the BBC producer  suggestion after the last transmission from the Cwmdu Inn at end of June this year. The program  featured on his beautiful garden especially the Dahlias. Humphrey Edwards was one of the 13 local guests that turned up on his1948 Allis Chalmers. Marc Griffiths took great interest in the said tractor,  and drove it around the village for a while. Hywel wishes to thank everybody for turning up that morning in order to make the program a success, especially the ladies who prepared light refreshments to all guests throughout the program. It is a very sad moment that this popular BBC waveband in South West Wales comes to an end on 26 September 2008 which will be replaced by a BBC Radio Cymru National transmission - with majority of daily features centered around Cardiff and Bangor areas. We the locals will certainly miss this waveband in the coming months, and of course as a result Radio Cymru will loose listeners in De Orllewin (South West Wales) and will revert to tune in to  other local radio transmissions .
